INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 17

CRAIG COUNTY, OKLAHOMA

As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 17, Craig County, Oklahoma, will hold a SPECIAL Meeting on February 23, 2010, at 6:30 PM, at the Board Room, High School Building, Welch Public Schools, 707 South Curtis, Welch, Oklahoma.

The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the above meeting:

1.         Call Meeting to Order

2.         Establish Quorum

3.         Public Participation

4.         Vote to Verify/Not Verify Certified Results of February 9, 2010, School Board Election

5.         Administer Oath of Office and Loyalty Oath to Board Member, Brian Mooney

6.         Vote to Re-Organize Board of Education

            A.         President – Cathey Forrest

            B.         Vice President – Brad Mount

            C.        Clerk – George Moore

7.         Open Bids for the Purchase of the Following Real Estate:

A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4 SE/4 SE/4) of Section Two (2), Township Twenty-Seven (27) North, Range Nineteen (19) East of the Indian Meridian, according to the United States Government Survey thereof, more particularly described as follows, to-wit:

Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Section 2 and running North parallel with the Section line a distance of 16 rods (264 feet); thence West at right angle a distance of 20 rods (330 feet); thence South at right angle 16 rods (264 feet); thence East along the Section line to the Place of Beginning, LESS AND EXCEPT the South 208.71 feet of the East 208.71 feet thereof, said excepted tract also described as a one acre tract in the Southeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4 SE/4 SE/4) of Section Two (2) (the “Property”).

8.         Discussion, Consideration, and Vote to Accept or Reject Any and All Bids for the Purchase of the Above Described Property
