educational and fun trip to Greece

Hello to all Welchkins!,

I would like to start putting the word out about the possibility of you and your High School aged kids going on a trip of a lifetime to Greece!  I am putting together a trip to tour the major parts of Greece in 2021 a couple of weeks after school dismisses for the summer.  What will we see and do?  Athens of course, the birthplace of the modern Olympics, home of the Acropolis, the beginning of the 26.2 mile marathon run.  The Plaka District---gelato----yummy!  The Sardonic Sea with visits to three beautiful Grecian islands.  The ruins of the Temple of Apollos, the ruins of the  Temple of the Oracle where Alexander the Great always visited and consulted before any major military campaign.   There is so much more to see and do.  We will have a traditional Greek evening with eating and singing and dancing and the ceremony of breaking your plates to celebrate the night!

If you are interested, I am tentatively setting a meeting for parents and kids to learn all I can share about it on Thursday night October 10th at 6pm in the art room of the High School.

I will be sending home whatever information I can with your kids prior to the night.

Hope to see everybody out here for the hour or two it will take.  Feel free to invite family and friends from all over.
