🎳 Strike Up Some Fun! 🎳
Yesterday was High School Bowling Day at Welch, and our students had an absolute blast! 🚌💥
As a reward for their hard work, positive behavior, and strong grades, our students hit the lanes for a well-deserved day of fun and laughter! 🎉
We’re proud of their dedication and excited to continue recognizing the effort they put into making this school year a success. Way to go, Wildcats! 💙💛 #WelchPride #StudentSuccess #BowlingDayFun

Had the pleasure of having lunch with five very special Wildcats today — three 1st graders who’ve read over 30,000 words, and two 2nd graders who’ve read over an incredible 300,000 words from chapter books! 📚 I loved hearing all about their summer plans and sharing a fun tip: dunk your broccoli in cheese to make those veggies disappear! 🥦🧀 So proud of these young readers and their amazing accomplishments!

Here is the current summer athletic calendar by month. The calendar is subject to change, but this should provide a good understanding of when coaches are planning on summer activities. Summer pride is for athletes going into grades 6-12.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
At Welch Public Schools, we are truly blessed with an exceptional staff. Our teachers do so much more than teach—they serve as counselors, listeners, mentors, and givers. They go above and beyond every day to support our students, both academically and personally.
I cannot thank you enough for your dedication, compassion, and commitment to student success. You are the heart of our school, and I deeply value and appreciate everything you do.
Thank you for making a difference—every single day.

We Are Hiring, Positions available as of May 1, 2025

Welch Public Schools has no school tomorrow May 2, and no school May 9. These are snow days on the school calendar. Everyone enjoy your 3 day weekend.

Today we celebrate and extend our heartfelt thanks to Kim Hall, Stacy Ezell, and Ryan Gleeves—exceptional leaders whose dedication, guidance, and unwavering commitment to excellence shape the heart of our school community.
Their responsibilities go far beyond administrative duties. They are role models for students, problem solvers, relationship builders, and trusted colleagues. A true leader surrounds themselves with those who challenge, inspire, and bring creative solutions to every issue—and my admin team is a reflection of that philosophy.
Thank you for your passion, perseverance, and for making education better every day.
Happy National Principal Appreciation Day!
Jeremy Ramsey, Supt.
