Our MS GT is having a great time at the Johnson Space Center in Houston! Today, they participated in the Stars and STEM program where they got to work on STEM challenges, go on a tram tour of the space center, visit Mission Control, and explore the space station. Thank you Cabin Creek for donating t-shirts and hotel rooms for Middle School GT Houston- NASA trip. We appreciate your kindness and support!

On February 25, Welch TSA attended the Northeast Regional TSA Conference held at NEO College. Schools from all over the State attended, with over 500 students competing in different STEM related competitions. The following Welch students placed in the top 3 in their events:

Marley Goodwin - 1st in Flight Endurance
Zoey Vickery - 3rd in Dragster Design
Emery Schaper & Grady Gleaves - 2nd in Structural Engineering, and 3rd in Problem Solving

TSA State Leadership Conference will be held April 14-16 at Embassy Suites in Norman, OK.

High school basketball playoffs continue tonight!

Lydia McCord, Marley Goodwin, Grady Gleaves, Emery Schaper, Zoey Vickery, and Alexandra Edens attended the TSA STEM Challenge at the Mid America Industrial park in Pryor. They had the following middle school and high school events: Flight, Drone Challenge, CO2 Dragster Races, Problem Solving, Structural Challenge, and Catapult Design. Over 300 students from surrounding districts attended and competed in the events. All Welch students that took CO2 dragsters made the finals, with 3 of them placing, and cash prizes given for the top 4 places. Marley Goodwin had a winning Flight time of almost 12 seconds. All the students did a great job!
