School Counseling Department

Our Mission
The mission of Welch Public Schools' counseling program, in alignment with the ASCA National Model (2019), is to provide a comprehensive, data-driven program that supports students' academic, social-emotional, and college/career development. The counseling staff fosters a positive school climate, promoting diversity, empathy, and perseverance. They advocate for equal access to education, ensuring all students acquire the skills needed for success in an ever-changing world.
Our Beliefs
All students should have access to a comprehensive school counseling program that is data-driven by professional school counselors to meet the needs of every student.
The School Counseling Program serves a central role in meeting students' developmental needs through interventions in academic, social/emotional, and career domains.
Students, regardless of their beliefs, ethnicity, race, gender, or special needs, should have equitable access to a 21st-century education.
Collaboration with the community, parents, school staff, and other valuable stakeholders is vital to the success of all students.
Students will develop core values of compassion, respect, and kindness.
Our Vision
The Vision of the Welch Public Schools counseling program is that all students will achieve academic success, social-emotional growth, and attain a fulfilling career in the future that is aligned with their interests and abilities. Students will be prepared to function as empowered members of our community where they show empathy, compassion, and respect for all.
